It’s times like these that you learn to love again, and Dave Grohl’s wife Jordyn Blum is leaning on her close friends following the rock star’s shocking confession that he fathered a child with another woman outside of their 21-year marriage.
The Foo Fighter frontman, 55, made the shocking admission in a statement posted to his Instagram on Tuesday, in which he told fans he plans to be a “loving and supportive father” to his new daughter.
Following his confession, and amid rumours that he has already hired a divorce lawyer, Blum, 48, has turned to his close friend, Hollywood star Kate Hudson, who was reportedly “disgusted” when she heard the news.
“Jordyn is getting a lot of support from one of her best friends, Kate Hudson,” a source told DailyMail.com exclusively.
“She was shocked and disgusted that at Dave’s age he was still cheating on not only Jordyn, but their daughters as well.”

Hudson, 45, a Hollywood star, was reportedly “disgusted” when she heard the news, a source told DailyMail.com.
They added that since news of Grohl’s romance and baby broke, Hudson, 45, has been comforting Blum, who shares daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, with the musician.
“He even sent her a huge basket of balloons with personalized sayings, including ‘Stay strong,’” the source revealed.
‘Kate told Jordyn that she is there for her 24/7 and that she should not hesitate to pick up the phone even if it is to cry for a while or if she needs her to come over to her house for a hug and a heart-to-heart.
“Kate would stay with her without hesitation if she asked.”
Blum and Hudson have kept their friendship private, often attending the same events but rarely being photographed together, though the duo do follow each other on social media.
Grohl and Leslie Mann joined them at the Adidas Stella McCartney party in Los Angeles in February 2023, and the quartet posed for a group photo.
It’s unclear when they first became friends, but Hudson, who starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, previously dated fellow rocker Muse frontman Matt Bellamy from 2010 to 2014.
The exes share a son, Bingham, 13.

The now-estranged couple were photographed at Wimbledon in July, with clips resurfacing showing a dismissive Grohl offering brusque and cutting responses to reporters.

The actress, who earned an Oscar nomination for her performance as a rock groupie in 2000’s Almost Famous, also released her debut album earlier this year and performed numbers from the record to a star-studded crowd that included her mother Goldie Hawn in May.
Grohl, who met former model Blum in 2001 before marrying in 2003, shocked fans when he revealed he had fathered a fourth daughter with an unnamed woman.
“I recently became the father of a new daughter, born out of wedlock,” he wrote in a statement Tuesday, breaking with his good-guy image of The Rock. “I plan to be a loving and supportive father to her.
“I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We appreciate your consideration for all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
On Wednesday, a since-deleted Instagram post by user @valeriegreyston showing a photo of a baby purportedly named “Roxie Junie Grohl” (who the user claims is Grohl’s daughter) went viral.
However, a representative for the former Nirvana drummer told TMZ that this is false.
The rocker, who has often been described as a “family man,” has spoken frequently over the years about how important family has been to him.
In 2007, he told The Guardian: “(My wife) Jordyn and (my daughter) Violet are anchors that keep me from disappearing completely.”

Blum was spotted without her wedding ring on August 1, weeks before the Foo Fighters frontman admitted to fathering a child out of wedlock.
An Instagram post claiming to be his newborn daughter, named Roxie Junie Grohl, went viral, but a rep for Grohl later told TMZ that it’s fake.
Speaking to TIME in 2012, she said her family “changed everything I do.”
“When you have children, you see life in a different light,” he said. “You feel love more deeply and maybe you’re a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that comes through in your songwriting.”
Before meeting Blum, Grohl’s checkered rock star past was plagued by rumors (and admissions) of infidelity.
He divorced his first wife, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood, in 1997 after admitting he had cheated on her. In 1999, reflecting on their three-year marriage, he said: “I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren’t ready to get married.”
He then dated Louise Post of the band Veruca Salt, who accused him of cheating on her with actress Winona Ryder and a handful of other women.
He seemed to cement his womanizer status in 2002, when he confirmed that he “had” groupies.
“The groupies come to the back,” he told The Face. “They know what they want, they know what the band wants. It just happens. It’s that easy.”
