Dave Grohl’s past relationships have come under scrutiny after he shocked fans by revealing he had fathered a child outside of his marriage on Tuesday.

Grohl announced in a statement on social media that he had welcomed a daughter with an unnamed woman and vowed to try to “regain the trust” of his wife Jordyn Blum, 48, and their three daughters.

The 55-year-old Foo Fighters frontman’s alleged close relationship with pornographic website founder Annaliese Neilsen has now come to light following a report by the The New York Post.

Their unusual connection reportedly included Grohl visiting Neilsen (real name: Lara Neilsen) at a home she shared in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, with one source even alleging that Grohl had paid some of Neilsen’s bills at one point.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Grohl’s representative for comment.

“I recently became a father to a new daughter, born out of wedlock. I plan to be a loving and supportive father to her,” Grohl announced to his 1.4 million Instagram followers on Tuesday.

“I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We appreciate your consideration for all the children involved, as we move forward together,” the brief message concluded.

Neilsen is best known as the founder of the now-defunct alternative pornography website God’s Girls, which featured heavily tattooed models.

Beginning in 2009, the site described itself as “an alternative porn/alternative erotica site with lots of really amazing, 100 percent exclusive images… the women are very lovely and some of them have tattoos, piercings and rebellious haircuts,” according to Voyeurwho dubbed Neilsen an “alternative porn goddess.”

The Post cites Tyler Ammons, 30, who said he was once Neilsen’s roommate and claimed he walked into the living room of their shared home in 2018 and was shocked to see Grohl sitting on the couch next to Neilsen.

“It was very strange. They were very close on the couch. I obviously knew who it was when I walked in.”

However, he claimed to be aware of Grohl’s family situation at the time, which made him feel particularly uncomfortable.

“I felt uncomfortable knowing he had a family and kids and I walked away,” Ammons said.

He went on to say that Neilsen’s relationship with Grohl was “kind of casual” during the time he lived with her.

He added that she would allegedly make trips to see Grohl, and claimed she said she planned to tour with the rocker in 2019, though it is unclear if she was part of Grohl’s entourage at the time.

When contacted by the Post, Neilsen said she was not the mother of Grohl’s illegitimate child, and when asked if she had had an affair with the rocker, she said of Grohl: “He’s someone I had a brief friendship with and who I know through friends of friends.”

He added: “I have nothing to say except that it is absolutely false.”

Despite her attempts to downplay her connection to the musician, another source who said she met Neilsen at her Girls Night In networking group in 2016 claimed she was more open about meeting Grohl.

“She had pictures… She had a relationship with him for years. She said, ‘He paid all my bills.’ I wonder why you are telling us this,” the anonymous source said.

Grohl and Blum met in 2001 and have been married since 2003.

After announcing that he had fathered a child out of wedlock, his two eldest daughters closed their social media accounts.

His admission of marital infidelity followed an admission of The Guardian in 2007 that he had also cheated on his first wife, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood.

The two married in 1994, but separated in 1996 and divorced the following year.

In the same interview with The Guardian, Grohl said: “(My wife) Jordyn and (my daughter) Violet are pillars that keep me from completely disappearing.”

Speaking to TIME in 2012, she said her family “changed everything I do.”

He added: “It’s changed everything I do. When you have children, you see life in a different light. You feel love more deeply and maybe you’re a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that’s reflected in your songwriting.”

Although little is known publicly about Blum, People reported that she once appeared on the cover of Teen, after being discovered in a supermarket when she was 12 years old.

She is said to have been working as a producer at MTV when she met the leader.

But Grohl told Elle in 2007 that he wasn’t ready for a serious relationship when they met and stopped calling Blum after a few dates.

He shared: ‘After three months, I had an epiphany and called her again. She picked up the phone and said, ‘Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again.’

Blum has collaborated with Foo Fighters several times, including on the band’s 2002 video for White Limo, where he made a cameo appearance.

He also co-directed Foo Fighters’ 2002 music video for Walking a Line.

Grohl made headlines earlier this summer when he publicly criticized Taylor Swift, suggesting that the singer doesn’t sing live.

The Foo Fighters frontman has slammed the Queen of Pop, calling her sold-out tour the tour of “mistakes” and joking that his band “actually plays live.”

While performing at London Stadium, he referred to Swift as she played that same night across the capital at Wembley, to boos from some fans.

He addressed the crowd: “We were joking about Taylor Swift’s tour earlier. I know she’s on her ‘Mistakes’ tour.

I’m telling you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.

‘That’s why we like to call our tour “The Tour of Errors.”

“We’ve had more than one era and more than a few shitty mistakes too. Just a couple.”

The band’s frontman clarified: “That’s because we play live. What?”

To applause, he continued: ‘I’m just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right?

‘You’ve come to the right fucking place!’

In August, Grohl also made his political leanings clear after saying that all royalties earned from Donald Trump’s use of one of his songs would be donated to Kamala Harris’ campaign.

The former president used the band’s 1997 song “My Hero” when he welcomed Robert F. Kennedy at a rally in Arizona after the independent candidate endorsed him.

In response, the band said in a statement to Billboard: “Foo Fighters were not asked for permission, and if they had been asked, they would not have granted it.”

He added that “appropriate action is being taken” against the Trump campaign and that royalties received will be donated to the Harris/Walz campaign.

When asked by Account X if the band had let Trump use the song, they simply replied, “No.”
