He’s famous for his burly, muscular physique, but Dave Bautista has shocked fans after slimming down for his new role.
The professional wrestler turned actor lost four stone as he prepared for his starring role as a veteran assassin in the latest film The Killer’s Game.
Bautista’s new look was on full display during a red carpet appearance at the premiere of The Last Showgirl at the Toronto Film Festival on September 6.
“I’m getting super fit, this is probably the lightest hair I’ve had since I was 19,” she told the YouTuber. Chris Van Vliet.
Bautista, 55, began his weight loss journey after filming M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller Knock At The Cabin in 2022, and admits he now weighs less than during his early wrestling days, when he competed under the name Deacon Batista.

“The heaviest I’ve ever weighed in my life was 370 pounds (26st). When I started at Deacon, I was around 325 pounds (23st),” he said.
‘For most of my wrestling career I weighed around 290 pounds (11.5 kg). Now I weigh around 240 pounds (11.5 kg).
“A year and a half ago I went to Knock at the Cabin and weighed 142kg. And that’s when the nightmare began.”
Bautista previously shared a striking snap from when she was 16 and didn’t have any of the tattoos that now cover her body.
At age 30, he embarked on a successful career in professional wrestling and MMA, before becoming a movie star at age 45 in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Throughout his adult life, his arms and torso became gradually covered in tattoos, including the Greek and Philippine flags in honor of his heritage.
But in the flashback she posted on Instagram this week, she appeared in a swimsuit in front of a view of the ocean, revealing that she had no body art at the time.
The photograph was taken near the end of a difficult childhood marked by poverty and crime, during which he himself was arrested in his early teens.

When he was a young child, they discovered a dead body in their front yard and watched a shooting victim die in the street in front of their home.
He, his sister and some other neighborhood kids “were all standing there looking at that poor man dying,” Dave later recalled in his memoirs. “I think some of us were even cracking jokes.”
The actor confessed: “When I was 13, I started getting into a lot more trouble for skipping school. I also got arrested for minor things. I was either jailed or put in a juvenile detention center, but the punishment wasn’t severe; I never spent more than a day in jail.”
Bautista insisted that “I wasn’t stealing or breaking the law to get back at anybody or because I was angry or anything like that. I was stealing because all my friends were doing it. It wasn’t a big deal. It just wasn’t out of the ordinary. It was just what you did.”
He added: “It’s not like I stole cars or did drugs or anything really bad. But I was definitely a thug and everyone was afraid of my fate.”

He has also dabbled in other franchises, including the Knives Out film series and the Dune films starring Timothy Chalamet.
Bautista currently has a wide range of projects in the works, including a role as Beowulf in the upcoming film Grendel, based on a novel that upends the ancient English epic to tell the story through the eyes of its villainous monster.
