Davante Adams’ recent move to the New York Jets was seen as a weak move by a guest on Jason Whitlock’s Fearless show, who came up with a crude nickname for the receiver.

After a dramatic trade saga, Adams finally found a way to escape the control of the Las Vegas Raiders to reunite with former teammate Aaron Rodgers in New York.

Appearing on Whitlock’s show, analyst Steve Kim called Adams’ deal with the Jets a desperate move.

‘Is it Davante Adams or Desperation Adams? Everyone is desperate here,’ Kim responded when asked about the exchange. “Davante wants to get out of the toxic environment in Las Vegas.”

‘Like many other people, he went to Las Vegas with a lot of money (and) shit himself. He wants to go out,’ he said.

The Jets acquired the wide receiver the morning after a 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein would miss two crucial field goals as the Bills outscored Rodgers and company, handing them their third straight loss as they move to 2-4.

While he gave credit to the move, Kim noted that the Jets have larger problems that would not be solved by acquiring Adams.

“The Jets, after last night, that game really shouldn’t have been that close,” Kim said. ‘Buffalo was clearly the superior team. The referees did everything they could to hand that game to Aaron Rodgers and his team.

“I guess it’s a good move,” he added. —I think they have major structural problems, Jason. They don’t block very well.’

On Tuesday morning, Rodgers surprised the Pat McAfee Show when Adams made a cameo during his appearance. They played together for eight seasons in Green Bay, where they teamed up for 7,517 yards and 68 touchdowns.

Adams sought greener pastures in Sin City in 2022 before his public falling out with the team earlier this season.

After a chaotic trade saga with the Las Vegas Raiders, Adams was traded to the New York Jets.

The receiver initially denied rumors that he wanted to leave Las Vegas. However, his eventual departure was accompanied by several signs of tension between him and the organization.

On October 1, Adam Schefter reported that the Raiders would “consider trading WR Davante Adams for a package that would include a second-round pick and additional compensation.”

Eight days later, Raiders coach Antonio Pierce stated that Adams was “still a Raider” and would be ready to wear his colors after recovering from a hamstring injury.

“There were years when Davante and Aaron Rodgers were probably as happy as they could be in Green Bay,” Kim added. ‘They were winning games. They were productive. They were elite. They were happy.’

“For whatever reason, whether it was money, profile or being in a bigger market, they wanted out,” he continued. ‘I think it’s a life lesson. Sometimes you are better off where you were.

Adams, who played three games for Las Vegas this season, is still questionable despite arriving in New York on Tuesday. The Jets hope to snap a three-game losing streak when they face the Steelers on October 20.
