Ayersnan said she called her aunt to tell her something was wrong, and the aunt ran to her mother’s house and found her “lying on the floor face down” in the house.

Ayersnan added that his mother had been scared because her house, where she had lived since 1984, was broken into the day before.

The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office said Jimerfield was strangled to death with a wire or rope, according to Law and crime. There were no signs of forced entry into the house.

Earlier on Tuesday, Jimerfield discovered his wallet was missing and filed a fraud report with the local sheriff’s office after noticing some suspicious bank charges.

Police have yet to make any arrests or publicly identify any suspects. Investigations into the homicide are ongoing.

Ayersnan asked the public for help in identifying the culprit.

“They took my heart, my rock, my soul and I don’t know how to go on,” he told the Fox affiliate. KPTV.
