A motorcyclist is lucky to be alive after crashing into a car at a busy intersection and flying meters through the air.
Dashcam footage captured the gruesome crash on Trafalgar Road in the eastern Melbourne suburb of Camberwell at around 2:40pm on February 22.
The footage showed a blue motorcycle appearing suddenly to the right of the screen, accelerating before crashing into the car coming from the left and turning right.
The motorcycle immediately shattered to pieces and was thrown into the air, while the driver flew meters to the other side of the road.
The cyclist spun around twice, his head bouncing off the ground, before skidding down the road and disappearing.

Shockingly, Victoria Police told Daily Mail Australia that the cyclist suffered only minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The male driver of the car was uninjured, while his passenger suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.
People seemed frozen in horror from the crash, staying in their cars as if nothing had happened.
The people in their cars who had just witnessed a horrible crash right before their eyes stayed in their cars waiting for a turn signal.
Finally, as seconds ticked by with no one appearing to come to the cyclist’s aid, a man ran across the road to see what he could do, and another followed shortly after.
However, the cars kept spinning, as if nothing had happened, seemingly oblivious to the fact that a man might be dying just yards away from them.

The motorcycle was destroyed and the rider was thrown into the air (in the photo), but the people stayed in their cars and carried on as if nothing had happened.

Finally, a man (pictured) rushed to the aid of the motorcyclist who had just hit a car.
Real estate agent Nick Tang, whose dashcam recorded the video, was stopped at a red light at the time.
He was on the phone with a client and said he was in shock for a ‘good 30-40 seconds’.
‘(I) didn’t know what to do and I didn’t expect to witness that on a normal day at work. I felt like I was witnessing an extreme Hollywood action movie scene in person,” she said.
I had never seen anything like it before in my entire life.
He said that the broken parts of the bike damaged the lower front panel of his car.
Mr. Tang got out of his car a few minutes later to see if the motorcyclist and driver needed help.
“The driver of the car was taking his wife home after shopping,” Tang said. “The police and the emergency team showed up about 10 to 15 minutes later.”
The police investigation into the collision is ongoing.
