Leader Darmstadt 98 has to do without captain Fabian Holland for the time being in the promotion race of the 2nd Bundesliga. Holland is currently in hospital for laryngitis. The club announced this on Wednesday.
“Everyone can certainly imagine that an inflammation in this area is very painful, and we hope accordingly that Fabi’s condition will improve quickly. From a sporting point of view, it is of course very bitter to have to do without our captain at this stage,” said the sports director Carsten Wehlmann.
Darmstadt currently leads the league by five points over Hamburger SV. On Sunday (1:30 p.m. / Sky) the lilies will be guests at Fortuna Düsseldorf.
