A drunk man allegedly hit a female police officer in the face, breaking her nose and shattering her teeth when she asked him to leave a popular Sydney bar.
The 32-year-old man was asked to leave the bar on the water, on the Promenade in Darling Harbor, at 12.45 pm by security personnel.
Police officers in uniform clothes who patrolled the room identified themselves with the man and also asked him to leave after he had refused to listen to security.

Police said a physical altercation followed when the man reportedly pushed one officer and slapped another in the face.
& # 39; The (female) officer immediately started bleeding from the nose, while the other officer arrested the man and brought him to Day Street police station, & # 39; said the police in a statement.
The woman was taken to St. Vincent & # 39; s hospital, where she was treated for a broken nose, facial swelling and sore teeth.
The man has been charged with assault, resulting in physical injury, attack police, resistance to arrest, offensive language and failure to grant a permit.
