Darcy Kuemper saves 17 shots, Capitals beat Islanders 5-1

With the win, the Capitals improved to 11-6-2 against Metropolitan Division opponents this season.

The Islanders are 4-1-1 in their last six games and 11-4-3 since Jan. 27.
