Danny Dyer has left This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley in hysterics after he criticized John Torode’s Peas for being “a bit harsh”.
The actor and presenter, 46, was a guest on ITV’s morning show on Thursday to promote his appearance on Sunday’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off.
Before being interviewed about his baking antics, Danny was invited to taste Master Chef judge John’s spring roast chicken with new potatoes and frozen peas.
But the EastEnders star was unimpressed with the single-plated meal, turning his nose up at John’s ‘Al Dente’ vegetables.
“The peas are a little tough,” Danny said as he tried a bite of vegetables in a crème fraîche sauce. Cat, 47, bursts out laughing.

“And it comes from Danny Dyer “Peas are a bit tough,” the former Stars In Their Eyes presenter said, to which Danny replies: “I’m a baker now, aren’t I.”
“I like a bit of Al Dente pea,” retorts Ben, 49, before adding, “There’s a bit of crunch in it.”
Visibly offended by pea-gate, John, 58, asks: “What do you mean, peas are hard?
“Enjoy one of these peas,” Danny said, pointing to the tray of potatoes and gravy. ‘Honestly.’
“They’re perfect,” John responds in defense of his meal, while trying the peas himself. “I like peas, yeah,” Danny said.
Ben adds, “I love this sauce,” before motioning to Danny and saying, “With the sauce?”
“Not for me,” Danny retorts, before noticing John’s annoyed expression and pretending it was a joke.
“You can take the boy out of the East End, but you can’t take the East End out of the boy,” Ben says.

Later in the series, Danny revealed he had spoken to his The Great Celebrity Bake Off co-stars about a DIY accident which left him stuck in a wardrobe.
Danny admitted that he once had to fight his way out of a cabinet after accidentally building it around himself.
He recalled his DIY fail during the ITV baking show’s charity special, when stars were asked to recreate their biggest fail in cake form.
“I had a child young and I was trying to build a wardrobe,” he explained. “But I fit in there. I had to knock on the back to get out. My wife still makes fun of me today.
The actor has been dating his wife Joanne Mas since the 90s and their eldest child, Dani Dyer, was born when Danny was just 19 years old.

Danny made the vanilla terrycloth wardrobe for the special episode, which is part of the Stand Up To Cancer charity show on Channel 4 on Sunday.
He also hid a fondant model of himself holding a hammer in the center for judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood to find.
The second episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer, featuring Danny, will air on Sunday at 7.40pm on Channel 4.
