Dannii finally addressed rumors that she will represent Australia at Eurovision 2024 after sending fans into a frenzy with a cryptic post.

The singer sparked speculation that she could represent her home country at the annual song contest after re-sharing a snap of the eye-catching stage of host country Sweden.

Dannii finally spoke out about the rumors during an appearance on KIIS 1065. Kyle and Jackie O Showwhere he also promoted his new song Thinking About Us.

Disappointing fans’ hopes, he insisted that his post did not hint at his participation in the contest.

Laughing at the rumours, he said: “My God, it’s the strangest thing.” It’s not that he can’t say anything; all I did was reply to a Eurovision text message because I’m a huge fan. That’s all that happened!

“No, not like a text message, it was like “Eurovision is back” just on social media and I was like, “Yes! The countdown has begun”.

When asked if she would ever consider representing Australia at Eurovision in the future, Dannii shared her doubts about her “confidence” to take to the show’s stage.

‘I don’t know if I would have the strength to overcome it. It’s such a physical exercise…like I saw Dami do it when Kate did it, she’s leaning in this poll! Guys, I’m 52 years old! I can not do this! I’m not a JLo at the Super Bowl,’ she insisted.

“It’s a trust thing and it’s definitely not there for me in my future right now, but I love that Australia is involved, and I love that we can showcase our amazing artists globally and then I’ll come back to London and then all the The world is talking about these Australian artists they wouldn’t have known before.
