NFL fans have praised former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones for not forgetting the men who protected him all season and sending them a lavish gift a month after he was fired from the team.
Jones, now a member of the Minnesota Vikings practice squad, sent each Giants offensive lineman a limited-edition bottle of Clase Azul tequila.
A regular fifth of Clase Azul, known for its blue and white design and its bell on top of the bottle, costs $170 online.
Jones was a first-round draft pick of the Giants in 2019 and was the team’s regular starting quarterback until last month, when he was benched in favor of Tommy DeVito.
Jones’ tenure with the Giants was marred by his inconsistent play and the team’s fan base became more upset with him by the year.
Now, away from the Big Apple, fans of his former team and others give him props for not forgetting the men who used to be his shield.

A few posts about Daniel Jones buying expensive tequila for his former teammates
“A classy gesture from Daniel Jones, showing appreciation for his offensive linemen despite the team change,” said one NFL fan.
“He sent them alcohol because he knows you want to drink with the Giants.”
Jones’ NFL future still looks promising with his experience as he will no doubt get another chance in the future with the Vikings or another team.
In a league where several guys have had more opportunities than they deserve, Jones currently in his second franchise gives him less baggage than some of his contemporaries.
There is now one less piece of baggage that can be said for certain about Jones: he is a respected teammate and cares about those he shares a locker room with.
Jones hasn’t played for the Vikings since joining the team last month.
