Naa Adjeley Tsofanye (pictured) claimed her year-old Big Mac had no signs of mold and the lettuce was still green.

One TikToker claimed that a Big Mac, which sat on a plate for over a year, was mold-free, and even the lettuce was still green.

After noticing that the Big Mac’s foliage was still a “deep green” more than a year later, Naa Adjeley Tsofanye decided to try the same experiment with a salad.

The herbalist began her initial experiment at McDonald’s with a Big Mac and fries on February 2.

A year and three weeks later, the content creator spun the Big Mac while commenting that there was no sign of mold on the burger.

Bringing the beef burger to the screen, he said: “As you can see, the lettuce after a year is still green.”

He continued, “This lettuce on this Big Mac is actually a pretty deep bright green.”

Peeling the vegetable from the year-old hardened piece of meat, the woman was surprised by her discovery.

‘Can you see the shine on my gloves? “It still has some moisture, it hasn’t completely dried out,” he said.

“I don’t think it’s normal,” he added: “I really think it’s crazy.” It’s crazy. Check it out.’

Surprised by the findings, Tsofanye explained that she plans to monitor Big Mac lettuce on a separate sheet of white paper, as well as a salad from the fast food chain.

As she poured the onions, tomatoes, and lettuce onto a large white plate, she said, “I want to see what happens with this salad.”

“I want to see if the fact that this lettuce was not browning after a year and three weeks has to do with the lettuce or the environment it was in.”

People were stunned by the TikToker’s food experiment, with one joking: “This is scary.”

“Not even the germs will eat it,” wrote a second, while another added: “I will never eat McDonald’s again.”

“That’s why I don’t eat McDonald’s… it scares me,” one user wrote fearfully.

Others saw the funny side of year-old lettuce, with one joking: “I’m probably still digesting a burger from 1995, when it was 35 cents.”

Another joked: “Skip the embalmer after I die, send me to McDonald’s.” I’ll last forever!!’

After making the discovery, the medical herbalist decided to perform the same experiment with a salad from the fast food chain.

‘Why throw it away? Just save it all and pass it down from generation to generation,” said one viewer.

Tsofanye also previously conducted similar experiments on a McPlant, which he purchased in June 2023.

After three months, the vegan food was in similar condition to the Big Mac, showing small signs of deterioration.

“I bought a McPlant because we often think the plant version is healthier,” the medical herbalist said.

‘But the McPlant is not fresh, but it has no mold, no smell, no insects. Not nothing.’
