Lisa McCune won Dancing With The Stars after a tense finale.
The actress and her professional dance partner Ian Waite walked the catwalk in the Mirrorball Tophy.
The five grand finalists – Samantha Jade, James Stewart, Nikki Osborne, Ant Middleton and Lisa – each performed their own expertly crafted freestyle dance in the ultimate ballroom showdown.
Dancing a burlesque-inspired routine to her own recording of Show Me How to Burlesque, Samantha kicked off the show and received 38 points.
Home and Away heartthrob James Stewart scored 30 points for his male freestyle dance, while Nikki Osbourne’s Argentine tango-inspired freestyle received 31 points.
Ant Middleton channelled his inner gladiator with his performance, which judge Mark Wilson “loved from the start”, earning him 34 points.
Lisa topped the rankings with a perfect score for her old-school Hollywood-inspired performance, which judge Helen Richey called the standout performance of the night.
After combining the judges’ scores with the audience votes, Nikki and James said their goodbyes.
Samantha, Ant and Lisa then performed their favourite dances from previous incarnations of the series, receiving 38, 36 and 39 points respectively, before the studio audience cast their final vote.
Sonia Kruger and Chris Brown announced that Ant Middleton had received the fewest votes (coming third in the competition), leaving Samantha and Lisa to battle it out for the Mirror Ball Trophy.
Lisa was crowned Dancing With The Stars champion and received $20,000 for her chosen charities, the RCD Foundation and the Harrison Reidel Foundation.
Lisa humbly said: “I’m so excited” before praising her dance partner Ian Waite.
With a shiny new Mirror Ball trophy adding to her accolades, Lisa joked: “It’ll keep my Logies company.”
Third place went to Ant Middleton and his dance partner Alexandra Vladimirov.
The SAS Australia star was gracious about the defeat, calling the result “very fair.”
“Sam and Lisa are phenomenal dancers and Alex helped me as much as he could. I’m very proud to have come third,” he said.
Ant added: “When someone first asked me to do Dancing with the Stars I was scared to dance, I always talk about getting out of my comfort zone. This is the perfect opportunity.”.
