Dancing On Ice’s Vanessa Bauer has claimed the show’s new 24-hour bullying scandal is “much needed” ahead of its 2025 return.
In the wake of Strictly Come Dancing’s bullying scandal and abuse investigation, Vanessa, 28, has taken a liking to her new support system.
Vanessa, who is partnered with Love Island’s Chris Taylor on the upcoming show, admitted it is “comforting” to know there is a hotline for everyone on the show.
she said the sun: ‘We were all informed, all the girls and celebrities, that there is a helpline we can call any time of the day, every day.
«At ITV we are very well cared for. It’s comforting to know and I’m putting myself out there; I think it is very necessary.”

ITV show bosses reportedly sent celebrities a six-page letter telling them they can speak out “without fear of abuse”.
Similar to the escorts introduced for this year’s Strictly, this year’s celebrities will also be assigned a producer to ensure their “well-being.”
A source said: ‘ITV puts the welfare of the show’s contestants at the heart of what they do. Nobody needs another Strictly, and Dancing on Ice bosses want their stars to feel they can speak up if something isn’t right.
‘They will have access to a 24-hour hotline staffed by professionals to raise concerns about any bullying or to get help with their mental health.
“They have also been given a letter outlining what they should expect from the show and how they should behave.”
The letter, which was obtained by the publication, allegedly warns the stars that participating in the show could leave them “physically and mentally exhausted.”
He also warns stars about conduct with their professional skating partners, adding: “Winning should never come at the expense of integrity and respect.”
Earlier this year, former Dancing On Ice contestant Michael Barrymore accused ITV producers of “abuse”.

The former TV star, 72, lashed out in a fiery social media post today, prompting a response from ITV which dismissed her “baseless” claims as the broadcaster insisted the stars’ well-being of the program was his “top priority.

But ITV responded and insisted that its stars be looked after while taking part in the show.
Reacting to Barrymore’s comments, an ITV spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We do not recognize these baseless claims.
‘Michael was unable to take part in the live Dancing on Ice shows due to an injury sustained during training.
‘This training takes place at public skating rinks, where skating attendants or rink guards are present, or at the show’s filming studio in Bovingdon, under the supervision of the production team.

«In addition, there are often independent skating coaches who supervise the training sessions. We have always been very transparent about our wellbeing processes and are fully committed to supporting cast and crew in our production. “This is always the top priority.”
Speaking to This Morning after leaving the show, Barrymore claimed she “loved every second” of her time on Dancing on Ice.
Wearing a cast on his wrist, he told former hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, who also presented the hit ice skating show: “It was an incredible experience.”
