‘Can’t Thank You Enough’: Dancing On Ice star Matt Evers shares moving words as he leaves his TV job of 10 years.
Matt Evers has spoken out after leaving his job of 10 years at the Ideal World shopping channel.
The 47-year-old professional ice skater said things came to a “very sad end” after the company went into administration.
The Dancing On Ice star Matt wrote on social media: “A very sad goodbye… to all my producers, directors, fellow presenters, guests, models, audio, stagehands, stage managers, buyers and production staff. Thank you for almost 10 years of pure joy.
‘Can’t thank you enough for making my experience with @idealworld.tv nothing but bliss.
‘We cannot forget our viewers and loyal customers, without you we would be nothing.

Grateful: Matt took to Instagram this week to express his gratitude for his former colleagues at Ideal World.
‘To those who booked me 10 years ago as a guest this past year and believed in me to put on my own shows, I couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you. 3 hours of live television, unscripted, ad-free, and uninterrupted is definitely exciting.
‘Things can be scary when something ends, but rest assured, when one door closes, another opens.
“A very sad end to a beautiful era of television.”
Earlier this week, shopping channel Ideal World was suspended and its website was shut down, leading to the layoff of 250 employees.
Ideal World TV announced in a post on its website and Facebook page: ‘We regret to inform you that Ideal World has had to temporarily suspend broadcasting and our website.
‘We are sorry for the inconvenience; We hope to be back online as soon as possible.’
The Peterborough-based channel calls itself “the home of big brands” and has featured celebrities including Vanessa Feltz, former Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead and Anthea Turner.
It was broadcast live for 18 hours a day for products in different categories such as gardening, home, technology and beauty.

While Ideal World TV has had a late-night slot on ITV in recent months, the channel suddenly “crashed” on Monday night, as well as disappearing from Virgin Media last month, according to The Sun.
Just a year ago, the company was dissolved and sold to Hamish Morjaria, but it has since been revealed that the businessman ceded “significant control” in February.
In early June, sportsdirect.com Retail Ltd took over the channel.
However, the Peterborough Telegraph reported that Ideal World TV was put up for sale with offers being accepted until the end of last week.
