Dad who “killed his family in their Disney house” is being sued by the jury and is facing the death penalty

The father accused of murdering his wife and three children in their home in Disney City and having lived with their bodies for at least two weeks has been charged by a large jury and can receive the death penalty for the massacres, prosecutors said.

Anthony Todt, 44, was arrested and charged on January 13 with four counts of murder for the murders at his home in Celebration, Florida, a gated community designed and developed by Disney.

Officers had entered the house and found the decaying bodies of his wife and three children wrapped in blankets after concerned family members had told the police that they had not heard from the family for a while.

Authorities believe they were killed shortly after New Year’s Day.

Prosecutors are now planning to seek the death penalty for the murders after a major jury has accused Todt of four first-degree murders, Florida attorney Aramis D. Ayala said Tuesday in a press conference.

Ayala said a large jury had returned the charge on Tuesday and accused him of four counts of capital murder on his wife Megan, 42 and their children Alek, 13, Tyler, 11 and four-year-old Zoe.

An independent panel voted that prosecutors would seek the death penalty for Todt, Ayala said.

The panel is then mounted the state Supreme Court ruled that the death penalty should be considered, despite Ayala opposing it.

Todt had previously known sheriffs for the murder of his wife, three children and their dog in their home, when it turned out that he was struggling with spiral debts.

According to the data from the medical researcher, Megan, Alek and Tyler were all drugged and stabbed.

His youngest child, four-year-old Zoe, was drugged.

In the two weeks prior to the discovery of their bodies, authorities were called to the building several times, but were unable to enter the building where the body was.

DailyMail.com revealed in January that the local sheriff department was called to the home in the Orlando area at least five times after family members were worried about not hearing or seeing it since Christmas.

Documents show that the Todt sisters called the office of the Sheriff of Osceola County from Connecticut, where the Todts lived part-time, sometimes daily, to ask delegates to check on the family because they suspected something was wrong.

Questions are now being asked because the authorities did not enter the house until January 13, when the bodies of the victims were found in the early stages of dissolution.

The physical therapist had first choked his wife and two children, but stabbed his teenage son with a kitchen knife as he fought, before slicing his wife and other son to make sure they were dead, DailyMail.com revealed in January.

A source close to the investigation revealed the horrific details of Todt’s murder rage and said the family man had stifled his family members one by one.

But then Todt when Alek reached last, the teenager fought back by scratching and biting him, causing Todt to stab him with a kitchen knife. Todt then went back and stabbed his wife and second son down to make sure they were dead.

Delegates drove to the Celebration House at least five times between December 31 and January 13, but did not notice the smell of dissolution.

According to reports, on January 11, a neighbor even offered a delegate a key at Todts’ house, but the delegate refused to use it.

Reports show that the sheriff’s assistant sheriff knocked on the door for the first time on December 31 to submit an eviction notice. He didn’t answer and left his card in the door.

On January 9 and 10, another assistant sheriff alerted by Tony’s sister in Connecticut knocked on the front and back doors, and then went to an apartment that the couple owned and knocked less than a kilometer away.

He explored the neighborhood and saw that the only car in the family was in the back yard and found the neighbor with the key.

Another delegate returned the following day, arrived at the house at 12:39 PM and left at 12:52 PM after the Todts landlord asked for a “wellness check,” according to reports.

And again another delegate returned on January 12, but he took no action.

Finally, on the morning of January 13, federal agents saw Todt enter the house shortly after 9 AM.

The agents and several delegates knocked on the door. Nobody inside responded.

An assistant sheriff grabbed the door handle and saw that the door was not locked. Agents and delegates came in and called Tony to come to the door.

At the time of the murders, Todt had incurred $ 100,000 in debt and was evicted. Evacuation proceedings were also pending against his physiotherapy office in Colchester

“A foul odor came out of the home,” one delegate noted in his report.

Tony was first seen and struggled down the stairs from the second floor, holding the railing. He needed help after telling the authorities that he was trying to kill himself with a high dose of Benadryl. His body, the report says, vibrated uncontrollably.

First he told delegates who asked his wife that she was sleeping upstairs.

“I went upstairs and saw a bedroom door on the right that was open,” wrote a deputy. “I saw in the bedroom that a person was lying on the bed covered with blankets. I pushed the door further open and saw two people lying in bed with mattresses on the floor. “

On the bed, the assistant sheriff discovered the body and found Megan, “deceased for quite a while.”

Tyler and Alek lay on the mattress on the floor.

It took a while for the assistant sheriff to find little Zoë, but found her wrapped in a blanket at the foot of her mother’s bed.

Evacuation proceedings were also pending against his physiotherapy office in Colchester.
