The show follows the operations of the Black Mafia Family, a Detroit-based gang that was founded in 1985.
The BMF cast is led by Demetrius Flenory Jr., whose father was one of the gang’s main members.
Other artists involved in the show’s production include Russell Hornsby, Myles Truitt and La La Anthony.
Snoop Dogg, Mo’Nique and Donnell Rawlings have appeared in recurring roles.
