Real Housewives of Atlanta Cynthia Bailey gave an update on her love life as she returns to the dating scene, three months after her high-profile divorce from Mike Hill.
The 56-year-old outspoken former model, who recently joined celebrity dating app Raya, admitted she struggles to find serious potential partners as she claimed finding someone her own age is the central issue.
Despite her musings that men nearly half her age beg to take her on dates, the reality star has said men twenty-something younger than her are interested in her. It feels strange that she could be their “mother”.
The 30-something’s mom was praised for being more “emotionally available” than Gen X or Baby Boomers, who she said want younger lovers and are less respectful of the over-50s.
Now, the twice-divorced reality star is talking about how she struggles with being “very single” in the digital age because she wants to talk and get laid first.

“Not only do I think being famous and dating is hard, but also that I’m a woman of a certain age. I just turned 56. However, a lot of the dating rules have changed,” Bailey admitted.
Also reflecting on her experience using Raya, an exclusive dating app that only approves 8% of requests, the TV personality from Alabama said her “experience has been hot and cold.”
I’ve always been honest about my age. My real age is there. I tend to be somewhat of a guy in my age group. What I find is that older men want younger women. And young men want older women, but I don’t know what that means to me? she asked.
Then Bailey said, “I really applaud myself for being one of the women who really has my age.” “And I do it really on purpose, because I want women to know that age is honestly just a number.”
“You look as old as you feel.” Considering, I’m really focused on just working out and as a women’s health advocate just making sure I’m good just because I’m 56 doesn’t mean I need to look 56 and feel 56,” she continued. “I’d like to meet someone in their 50s, but I’d date a little younger.”
However, Bailey said some of the 35-year-olds she spoke to are so “mature” that “age isn’t really the deciding factor in terms of maturity and security.”
“I find that some of the young people they connect with are more emotionally available, and better communicators,” she explained. “They’re a little more aggressive.”
While they ask her out for one dinner, she says that some older men make women her age feel that they should just “feel grateful that they’re interested in them.”

“They can get younger women…but to be clear, older women can get younger men, too,” she noted.
But she warned Romeo wannabes that texting isn’t the best way to her heart.
There aren’t a lot of phone calls, there’s a lot of texting and I’m pretty old school, so I’m trying to get back into the game. But I really struggle to understand the new rules.
“I’m a great communicator and texting doesn’t quite get to the same place as just picking up the phone and calling me. This is one of the things anyone trying to ask me out on a date or any kind of relationship with me you need to call me up and show up because texting will only get you in some parts she said.
Bailey quit RHOA in 2021, after being a part of the series for eleven seasons, before appearing on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip on Peacock.

The reality veteran briefly expressed that she wasn’t sure if Sandoval and Levi’s would make it as a couple after the scandalous start of their short-lived sexual relationship.
I have lived 11 years. It is very important to make sure that you are solid because things can go less because you have to deal with your relationship in real life as well as that of your TV life. And if you guys aren’t strong, it’s very difficult to move around,” she said.
Bailey is currently building a full-time acting career, having scored over eight roles on the small and big screen in the past two years.
I go into every audition, booking, and TV series with the optimism that I will win this job. There’s a lot of pressure that comes from reality TV and I find myself over preparing and giving in, because I want the respect of the team. “I am so grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had,” she said angrily.
Bailey spoke at a Women’s Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) event, which pays tribute to cancer survivors and the memory of those affected by cancer, in Beverly Wilshire in March.
