If you’re looking to capture HDR reflections that almost make you feel like an explosion or the sun’s rays on a tropical island, Hisense’s 65-inch U8N (8/10, WIRED Recommended) offers it at a price that you really can. It’s not better. This TV is one of the brightest we’ve tested, but it knows how to dim things at night, with excellent black levels and minimal light bleed. You’ll also get stunning quantum dot colors and great gaming features, including VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) up to 144Hz for smooth action. Like almost all LED TVs, it doesn’t look that great from the side and has a few other minor flaws for its price, but as I said in my review, you’ll get a “jaw-dropping show” and excellent quality. Overall performance that can only be matched by a few rivals, most of which cost significantly more.
