‘Cult’ mother Lori Vallow tells people that she is waiting for ‘media hype’ around missing children to ‘die’
‘Cult’ mother Lori Vallow is lying low and waiting for the massive media fire storm around the search for her missing children to die, a good friend has revealed.
The friend, April Raymond, spoke with Dateline NBC for a special about the disappearance of Lori’s children, seven-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan, who were last seen in Idaho in September.
The children were never reported missing by their mother, who fled with her new husband Chad Daybell to Idaho for Hawaii when the police began asking questions about the children’s whereabouts at the end of November.
The case attracted national attention with the revelations that the police also investigated at least three mysterious deaths related to Lori and Chad, who, according to family members, are members of a dangerous Doomsday cult.
In a preview for the special Dateline broadcast on Friday, Raymond said that Lori ‘has told people that there is a lot of media hype around her right now. And she’s waiting for it to die. ”
Raymond added, “I would describe it as something more serious, much more serious.”

Tylee Ryan, 17, and Joshua “JJ” Vallow, seven, were last seen in Idaho in September
Lori and Chad were mentioned as interested in the disappearance of JJ and Tylee in mid-December when the Rexburg Police Department in Idaho issued a press release asking for public help in locating the children that they thought were in danger .
Authorities have the couple repeatedly lie to investigators and refused to cooperate with the probe. They believe that Lori knows where her children are or what happened to them.
The police tracked down Lori and Chad at the end of last month in Princeville, Hawaii, and issued a warrant to the mother in which she must physically give the children to the Idaho authorities by January 30.
Lori did not meet the deadline, after which it was expected that the police accused her of disdain in court and asked for her extradition of Hawaii.
But almost two weeks later, the police still don’t seem to have taken action against her.

The search for the missing children revealed a web of mysterious deaths around Lori and Chad.
The first death is that of Lori’s fourth husband and JJ’s adoptive father Charles Vallow, who was shot in Arizona on July 11 by her brother Alex Cox.
Lori’s brother Alex Cox died under mysterious circumstances on December 12
Charles and Lori had a fight when the father came to pick up JJ at the mother’s house in Chandler.
The police initially determined that Cox acted in self-defense while intervening in an argument between Charles and Lori.
But the case was reopened in the midst of searching in several states for JJ and Tylee, who had moved to Idaho with their mother a month after the shooting.
The second mysterious death was Tammy Daybell, who was found dead on October 19 in the couple’s home in Salem, Idaho.
Tammy’s body was dug up on December 11 and the autopsy results have not yet been released.
On December 12, Lori’s brother, Alex Cox, was found dead in Gilbert, Arizona.
The death of the 51-year-old is now being investigated while the police are waiting for an autopsy to find out the cause.
While the police were working to disentangle the disturbing mystery, Lori and Chad sunbathe themselves in Princeville, where they reportedly rent a house since mid-December.
They have largely remained out of sight of the public during the ongoing investigation.
In the few cases that they were caught on camera, they do not seem impressed by the drama that surrounds them.
The couple was first seen since the disappearance of the children made headlines on January 26, when an East Idaho News journalist confronted them with the scene where the police had ordered them to search in Kaua’i.
They remained silent and kept walking while the reporter repeatedly asked them where the children are and if they live.
Lori spoke only once after the reporter said people in eastern Idaho and across the country are praying for JJ and Tylee.
“That’s great,” she replied.
Chad kept his mouth shut during the entire exchange, only grim when the reporter named his previous wife Tammy, who died two weeks before he married Lori.
Photos of the November 5 wedding were published this week by FOX10, in which Lori and Chad are happily danced on a Hawaiian beach.
They returned to Idaho after the wedding and were there about three weeks before the police started asking questions about the children, after which they returned to Hawaii.
Lori and Chad were first seen since the disappearance of the children in the news on January 26, when an East Idaho News journalist confronted them after the police had served them with search warrants in Kaua’i
Although police have prevented Lori and Chad from being publicly suspected, a disturbing portrait of the couple has emerged from reports of family members claiming to be members of a dangerous cult obsessed with the end of the world.

Kay Woodcock – Charles Vallow’s sister who is also JJ’s grandmother – issued a statement in December describing how Lori became a “monster” after meeting Chad in 2018.
Chad, 51, is a fruitful author of 25 books that focus on doom scenarios and near-death experiences. He is what is known as a ‘prepper’ – someone who is getting ready for the end of time – and was a member of a group called Preparing a People.
Last month, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Chad had been kicked out of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the fall after declaring himself a prophet.
Lori reportedly began reading Chad’s writing while living with Charles, JJ and Tylee in Hawaii between 2014 and 2017.
It is unclear how or when Lori and Chad met exactly, but family members say it was somewhere around June 2018.
The couple first appeared together in December 2017 on a podcast for Preparing a People, a group that, according to its website, organizes conferences and lectures for those looking forward to the upcoming changes in our current Telestial way of life, and rejoice in the hope that a much better world will come soon! ”
The marriage of Lori and Charles deteriorated rapidly as she became more and more involved with Preparing a People and he requested divorce and custody of JJ in February 2019.
In court, he claimed that Lori was “obsessed” with the Day of Judgment and believed that she was a reincarnated god sent to earth to prepare for the Second Coming of Christ.
He also claimed that she would have threatened to kill him if he would stand in the way of her mission.
Lawyers representing Charles at the divorce pronounced in January and claimed that their client had predicted that Lori or her brother Alex would kill him.
Five months later, his prediction came true when Alex shot him.
Alex told investigators that he was acting in self-defense after Charles hit him with a baseball bat – but several family members don’t believe that version of events.
Charles’ ex-wife Cheryl Wheeler recently said she believes Charles’s death was “100 percent planned” by Lori.
Wheeler also believes that Lori had something to do with the deaths of Tammy Daybell and Alex Cox, suggesting that they were poisoned.
