The inevitable accusations of nepotism surrounding Cruz Beckham and his latest musical endeavor were swept aside on Sunday when the young musician ventured to Rio de Janeiro with his Brazilian girlfriend.
Cruz, 19, hopes to make his mark on the music industry with his upcoming single For Ya Love after releasing a snippet of the track on social media over Christmas.
But after fending off a subsequent wave of divided comments with the bizarre claim that “Jesus is a nepo baby too”, the teenager visited the picturesque Ipanema beach with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 29.
Cruz showed off his growing collection of tattoos in a white vest as he walked hand in hand with songwriter Jackie.
Alongside her boyfriend, the brunette turned heads in a pair of red nylon shorts and a tight crop top as they made the most of the popular beach.
Taking to Instagram after his day in Rio, where temperatures currently reach 25 degrees, Cruz revealed his sunburn with the accompanying comment: “Ya.”

As the son of David and Victoria Beckham, he has long had to fight accusations that he used his famous parents to advance his budding music career.
But Cruz seemed to have been particularly irritated by the latest accusations of nepotism leveled at him, responding with the bizarre statement that “Jesus is a nepo baby too.”
The outburst came after he released a teaser video for his new Beatles-inspired song For Ya Love on social media on Christmas Day.
“Not bad,” wrote one reviewer. “I bet he had a lot of money and training.” The 19-year-old quickly responded: ‘Not at all. Just a guitar.
When the mocking continued, Beckham came out with his Jesus comment. Less than 12 hours later, early yesterday morning, he deleted the post.
Cruz spent Christmas at his parents’ new £60million seafront mansion in Miami with his Brazilian-German songwriter girlfriend.
In May, Cruz changed his musical direction from TaP, which works with artists including Dua Lipa and Ellie Goulding, to Los Angeles-based guitar-led group C3.
Having worked with bands such as The Strokes, C3 is a key signing for the young singer and guitarist.

This year, the teenager worked with songwriter Ed Drewett, who has four number one hits to his name, including Little Mix’s Black Magic and The Wanted’s All Time Low.
Cruz has also worked with producer Fred Ball, known for his success with big names like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Mariah Carey and Ed Sheeran.
Accusations of privilege have also dogged his brothers throughout their various endeavors.
Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn, 25, has attempted several high-profile careers, including a widely ridiculed attempt at being a photographer.
Brooklyn now lives in Los Angeles with his wife Nicola Peltz, daughter of a billionaire businessman, and makes money promoting products to his 16 million followers on social media.
He also recently launched his own brand of hot sauce.

Fortunately for Cruz, the response to his attempt to compare himself to Christ hasn’t gotten as ugly as the fallout from John Lennon’s declaration that The Beatles (pictured) were “more popular than Jesus” in 1966.
The next eldest son, Romeo, 22, recently gave up his bid to become a professional footballer after a year with Brentford and a training period with his father’s American club, Inter Miami.
In September it was announced that Romeo, who is dating DJ Kim Turnbull, 23, would now follow his mother into a career in fashion.
Victoria, who runs the high-end fashion house that bears her name, supports her son.
She is already signed to a major agent, Safe Management, and has modeled for Yves Saint Laurent.
Fortunately for Cruz, the response to his attempt to compare himself to Christ has not become as ugly as the fallout from John Lennon’s declaration that the Beatles were “more popular than Jesus” in 1966.
That comment sparked howls of protest among Christian communities in the United States and led to death threats, American radio stations banning The Beatles’ music, and public bonfires of the band’s records across the country.
