CrossFit athlete Lazar Đukić disappeared in the water during a live broadcast of the CrossFit Games in Texas.
He was last seen about 100 meters from the end of the 800-meter swim segment in Fort Worth, Texas, according to Meter.
His team told organizers he did not get out of the water.
First responders pulled a body from Marine Creek Lake on Thursday and placed it in a body bag around 10 a.m., according to CBS Texas NewsIt is unclear whether the body was that of Đukić.
The swim is the first part of the games and was scheduled to start early in the morning but was cancelled after police came looking for the athlete around 8am.

All spectators were asked to leave the premises while the search was carried out, Metro reported.
Live broadcasts were interrupted when organizers canceled the swimming competition. One woman who was livestreaming told viewers that “it seems something serious happened.”
The Serbian has been competing in the CrossFit Games for several years and is ranked 88th in the world in the men’s category. In Serbia, he is ranked third.
The athlete posted TYR Sport ads on his Instagram story yesterday, where he waved excitedly at the camera.
Just a few hours ago, Đukić posted a link to the live stream of his event.
Đukić said on a social network video CrossFit is “the only thing I’m good at,” and he said he “works hard” because he knows his competitors do.
“I know there’s someone working hard beside me, motivating me both mentally and physically,” he said. “I can’t let my brother beat me.”
His brother Luka also participates in CrossFit challenges. Luka has not made any public comments about his brother.
Đukić also said he hoped to finish on the podium this season.
