Cross-Country Skiing in Style: Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden Exudes Elegance in All-Black Outfit

Royally active! Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden looks chic in all black while cross-country skiing

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden looked dapper in ski gear as she strolled through the mountains in a national park this afternoon.

The Queen, 45, peeks out from behind sunglasses as she puts her poles forward for some cross-country skiing in Sunfjallet.

With her brunette locks pinned into a chic, yet functional bun, she wore an all-black outfit as she made her way through the powder.

Looking like Lara Croft from the Tom Raider movie, she floated serenely across an alpine landscape with a bright blue sky behind her.

The mother of two is known for her love of hitting the slopes and often skis with her family, including King Carl XVI Gustaf.

And her appearance on the mountains today comes after confirming that she and her father will attend the coronation of King Charles next month.

She’ll no doubt be glad to be back on the slopes in the climate she’s used to after touring Australia last month with her husband, Prince Daniel.

The royal couple kicked off their state visit to the country with trips to the Swedish Embassy in Canberra, the National Museum of Australia and the Koala Rehabilitation Center in Namadgi National Park.

After their time in the Australian capital, the couple flew to Sydney to continue their tour.

Sweden’s embassy said in a statement at the time that the royal couple’s official tour aimed to “deepen bilateral relations”.

The last time Crown Princess Victoria hit the slopes for a photo with her father was in January, after he made some controversial statements about the succession to the Swedish throne.

King Carl XVI Gustav, 76, said Victoria’s younger brother Prince Carl Philip had been ‘unfairly’ stripped of his right to the throne because of new succession laws introduced in 1980, just after she was born.

Crown Princess Victoria was two years old when the new law was introduced and updated the natural order of succession by saying that the eldest child, regardless of gender, should inherit the throne.

Even then, her younger brother Carl Philip, then seven months old, was supposed to become king, since the previous law favored male heirs.

However, he was stripped of the title of heir apparent under the new law, and Victoria became heir apparent.
