The $200,000 BMW was painted with messages for Nathan to call

Images have emerged of an expensive luxury BMW in an affluent area covered in pink graffiti, leading Australians to speculate about what the vehicle’s owner might have done to deserve such ownership.

The grey X5 M model, which sells for $200,000, was seen parked on a busy road in Neutral Bay on Sydney’s north shore on Thursday.

The car’s hood and passenger doors were covered with messages scrawled in pink paint.

“Nathan, call me,” read the graffiti on the hood.

The two left passenger windows were also vandalized.

“Nathan, call me as soon as possible,” the message said.

The windows also had multiple pink lines where paint ran and then dripped onto the passenger doors.

A call to Nathan was posted online by Mosman Collective Instagram account.

“I’m not sure what’s going on here,” the video is captioned.

‘But if your name is Nathan and you’ve got a flashy grey BMW parked on one of Neutral Bay’s busiest streets, someone needs you to call them ASAP.

‘I hope you have the car detailer ready to serve you.’

The brazen act took place in an affluent area of Sydney, where the average price of a house in Neutral Bay is $3.225 million.

The median price of an apartment is $1.245 million, according to data from Realestate.com.au.

Viewers were not only shocked by the creative vandal, but by what Nathan must have done to drive someone to such a desperate act.

“What have you done?” wrote one.

“Nathan has been bad!” said one.

Another added: ‘Nathan’s baby mama is looking for him!’

A third joked: “Nathan is about to become a father!”

Another made a Fatal Attraction reference, adding: “I hope it doesn’t have a rabbit and a big saucepan.”

Australians have been left wondering what Nathan did to inspire such a desperate act (pictured, paint on the rear left passenger window).

Other viewers urged Nathan to stay away.

“Poor Nathan has a stage 5 problem,” one joked.

Another wrote: ‘Run Nathan!’ wrote another.

And according to some, the vandal also attacked Nathan’s house.

“This is all over the place where Nathan obviously lives, too. I hope Nathan calls soon or we’ll have a very pink street,” wrote one neighbor.

But the person desperate to get Nathan’s attention may have broken the law in vain.

“Unfortunately, they confused the house with the car. The car shown is owned by the house next door to the one that was vandalized,” one of them wrote.

Another added: “It’s also on my neighbour’s garage door.”

But someone who claimed to know Nathan revealed a good reason why he hadn’t heard from him.

“I know Nathan, he’s overseas right now with his partner. I’ll be sure to let him know!” they wrote.

And while many Australians find this graffiti funny, it is a criminal offence.

Under Section 195 of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW), severe penalties may be prescribed for any person who intentionally or recklessly destroys or damages property belonging to another person.

If the value of the property does not exceed $5,000, it will be processed by the Local Court.

In New South Wales, the maximum penalty is two years’ imprisonment and the maximum fine is $5,500.
