Comedian Bill Maher surprised Hawk Tuah’s daughter when he urged her to launch a sex-focused podcast.
The irreverent comedian made the lewd proposal during a recent episode of his Club Random podcast.
Hailey Welch, the 23-year-old known online as “Hawk Tuah Girl,” seemed surprised when Maher approached her about hosting a show called “Sex Expert.”

Welch, stunned by Maher’s ill-timed suggestion, laughed in disbelief and looked away.
“No, I’ll tell you why… You were given the fame chip. Now you want to trade it in for something that uses it but takes it to the next level.”
He added: “You have to take advantage of what you already know about yourself. It’s the only thing you’re known for.”
Welch nodded and looked distractedly at Maher, who explained his vision for the podcast.
“It can’t be something frivolous. It has to be taken seriously,” he said.

“Yes,” Welch nodded.
“What am I going to say?” the comedian asked, before adding: “You have no idea what I’m going to say.”
At this point, ‘Hawk Tuah Girl’ admitted that she felt uncomfortable.
“I don’t know where this is going. I’m a little nervous.”

“You learned that spitting thing from porn,” the comedian said, referring to Welch’s “hawk tuah” comment.
The 23-year-old was initially speechless, but then burst out laughing, taken aback by Maher’s comment.
“The idea of spitting… first of all, it’s disgusting. It’s not necessary. It never existed before pornography,” the podcast host continued.
The comedian’s bizarre comments sparked a swift reaction from X.com users, who were shocked by Maher’s “creepy” behavior.
“Absolutely disgusting,” one person wrote.
“Maher is a pervert,” opined one X.com user.
Maher urged Welch to start a sex-themed podcast, but made it clear that she would have to discuss the topic seriously.

During the podcast, Maher also discussed other hot cultural topics like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
The comedian was sure that the football star would soon leave the pop idol.
“He’s going to leave you… it’s like Gatorade at the Super Bowl, you know they’re going to leave you,” he said.
Maher later reflected on Swift’s identity as an artist, as well as her potential political influence.
I mean, this is a country girl, right? she mused.
“She started out as a country artist. She’s a white girl from Pennsylvania, I think, who grew up on a farm, right? She never had a black boyfriend.
Throughout the rest of the podcast interview, Maher discussed topics including Taylor Swift and the evils of pornography.
“You know, if ‘MAGA’ is full of racists, then they have to like that.”
Still, Maher saved his most critical comments for the topic of pornography.
“Pornography is not benign… It has warped the minds of young people of your generation, especially men,” he told Welch.
“People are completely sick,” he added.
