I would be doing us all a disservice if I directed this review solely at people with vulvas. If you have a penis and like to enjoy vibrations whether alone or during sexual activities with a partner, then there is no reason why you can’t rock the Vesper 2 outside the bedroom. Then turn it on for a moment of orgasmic fun. inside the bedroom. (Or in the bathroom of your favorite dive bar. It’s quiet, so you can use it anywhere.)
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to test the Vesper 2 with my penis-wielding partner, but that’s okay. For me, Vesper has always been about empowerment. Every time I wore it, I expressed my sexuality in a way that would have me burned at the stake in Salem in the 17th century. Because Vesper 2 makes me feel the same way, it’s not something I would want to share with my partner. I wanted discovery, pleasure and orgasms to be on my terms with my new vibrating collar; a sentiment, I’m sure, that some people will understand once they get their hands on the Vesper 2.
The Vesper 2 is great. I stand by the fact that it was not like that. In fact It needs an update first, but the waterproof design is especially welcome. The 40-minute battery life just isn’t enough some days, but you might be greedy. Frankly, I don’t need more than a couple of minutes with the Vesper 2 to orgasm, so unless it’s a full hour sexual self-care session, 40 minutes is plenty.
This sex toy is priced higher than the original, but considering my 2014 Vesper still works, it’s a worthwhile investment. You can also be part of a club of bold and intrepid people who know that sometimes the best place to place your favorite vibrator is around your neck.
