A woman and a child have died after a terrible accident with a truck on a busy highway.
A silver SUV collided with a cement truck along the Hume Highway below the Menangle Road flyover in Sydney at 11:20am on Monday.
The driver and the child died at the scene, while a second child was treated by paramedics after they arrived at the crash site in a tollbooth helicopter.

A silver SUV collided with a cement truck along the Hume Highway below the Menangle Road flyover in Sydney at 11:20am on Monday.
The truck driver was uninjured and will undergo mandatory tests.
Commuter chaos has ensued with the buildup of traffic along the highway.
Live Traffic advised drivers to use the M1 Princes motorway or Picton Road instead.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area,” he wrote in a tweet.
‘All northbound motorists are being diverted from the motorway at Picton Road and should consider using the M1 Princes or Appin Road motorway instead.
“Southbound motorists are being diverted onto Narellan Road where they can use Appin Road to travel south.”
