Crash in Glengarry, Gippsland: A man dead and a child in critical condition after a three-car accident

A horror multi-car accident leaves a six-year-old boy fighting for his life and the man dead

A three-vehicle accident in regional Victoria left a man dead and a young child in critical condition.

The three cars collided at 3:49 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection between Traralgon-Maffra Road and Farmers Road in Glengarry, Gippsland.

A 35-year-old driver, a man from Glengarry, died at the scene while his passenger, a six-year-old boy, was airlifted to hospital.

He was in critical condition with upper body injuries.

A second driver, a 22-year-old man from nearby Traralgon, was taken to Traralgon Public Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

He assists in police investigations.

The four occupants of the third vehicle were not injured in the accident.

Victoria Police officers from the Major Collision Investigation Unit were on the scene.
