Craig Conover saw wedding bells in his future with Paige DeSorbo just weeks before their unexpected split after three years together.
On Monday, Paige announced the breakup, keeping the exact reasons private, while Craig has yet to publicly address it.
The Southern Charm star, 35, shared with People earlier this month that he had stopped drinking, motivated by a desire to “become more of a husband and father” to the Summer House alum, 32.
‘We are playing for the long term. “It would be easy to look for instant gratification, but the foundation we’re building is for us to one day die together, not just for it to be fun,” Craig said on Dec. 5, talking about their relationship.
Confident in his future at the time, he added: “We know that one day we will get married and when that happens it will be a lot of fun, but whenever that happens, who knows?”
Looking ahead, Craig also reflected on his plans for family life.

‘We probably have a couple of years left until we start having kids, and then we’ll have to figure it out,’ she said, adding with a laugh: ‘But now I’ve really taken on this normal role of being a happy wife, happy life.’
He also reflected on his long-distance relationship, emphasizing his commitment to making it work.
“Finding your person is the hard part,” she said, adding that they plan to work out the logistics later, with the goal of staying home with their future children as much as possible.
Meanwhile, Paige left fans stunned when she shared news of the split on her Giggly Squad podcast on Monday, describing the split as amicable while remaining cagey about the specific reasons behind it.
Fighting back tears, the reality star admitted that speaking publicly about the breakup felt “weird,” but made it clear that she only has positive feelings for Conover.
‘I love it. I think he loves me. “I think we’ll stay friends,” he said, adding: “Nobody did anything. It wasn’t bad at all.’
DeSorbo went on to describe his decision as mature, saying, “I think we were both being really mature and saying what we wanted and what we didn’t want.” And I think it’s extremely powerful to be able to express how you feel in real time and what you want for your future.”

Another chimed in: “Craig was definitely ready to get married and maybe Paige wasn’t yet at that point.” Plus, I don’t think any of them wanted to move. It’s a shame they were a cute couple.
Paige remained tight-lipped about the exact reasons behind her breakup with Craig, but described the last few years as “very transformative,” noting that both she and Conover had experienced significant growth and changes during their time together.
While she didn’t specify when they officially ended their relationship, the couple appeared to still be on good terms last month when they celebrated Thanksgiving at her parents’ home in upstate New York.
“He’s definitely the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. I can really say that,” DeSorbo shared, reflecting on their time together.
“He was a great boyfriend, he did everything right and he never made me feel insecure or anything, so it’s almost harder when no one has done anything to be mad about, and that’s hard.”
So far, Conover has yet to comment on the split.
Trouble in paradise may have started brewing as early as 2022, when Craig Conover admitted the challenges of maintaining a long-distance relationship with Paige DeSorbo.

Adding a touch of humor, Conover’s co-star Shep Rose, who was part of the same interview, mocked him for diving into relationships too quickly.
“Well, Craig, every time Craig goes out with a girl for more than two weeks, he starts talking about baby names,” Rose, 42, joked.
The couple officially went public with their romance on Instagram in December 2022 after months of rumors and speculation.
