MetLife Stadium has become famous for being one of, if not the worst playing surfaces in the NFL. Thursday night’s game between the Cowboys and Giants was a prime example of this.

Two important stars of the Dallas Cowboys left the game with injuries, directly due to the quality of the grass: Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs.

Parsons was last seen getting onto a medical cart without a shoe or sock on his left foot.

Diggs was injured trying to make a tackle and remained on the grass in pain for a moment, but did not return to the game.

Here’s a collection of social media posts highlighting frustrations with MetLife Stadium’s turf.

‘That land in MetLife should be off-limits. It’s really shocking how many lower body injuries happen there,” said one football fan in X.

“It’s amazing they’re still playing NFL games every week on this MetLife turf in 2024,” another person said on social media.

‘You could argue that it is actually a crime to allow NFL football to take place on MetLife turf. John Mara is responsible, so he should give up control of the franchise before being put behind bars for life.

“Playing on the MetLife turf should not be allowed during a short week.”

Former New York Giants catcher Sterling Shepard may know the dangers of MetLife Stadium better than anyone.

The now Buccaneers practice squad member suffered significant season-ending injuries due to turf in 2021 and 2022.

It was also the scene of Aaron Rodgers’ infamous Achilles tear starting his career with the New York Jets a year ago.

It’s unclear how long Parsons and Diggs will be out of action. The damage has already been done and the growing list of players who have been injured on the MetLife Stadium turf continues to grow.
