Prime Minister Gladys Berejiklian has ushered in a series of new restrictions after NSW recorded the highest daily number of infections on record during the Covid pandemic.
There were 239 new locally acquired Covid cases recorded Thursday and two more deaths as the state struggles to contain the highly contagious Delta outbreak.
Of the new cases, 66 were in the community while contagious, while the isolation status of a further 70 cases is still under investigation.
More to come.
