Jason Kelce described an invitation to appear on one of his favorite TV shows and compete against his brother Travis as a “dream come true.”

The legendary Philadelphia Eagles center, who announced his retirement after 13 years in the NFL on Monday, could focus on blacksmithing after hanging up his cleats.

After revealing his desire to appear on the History channel show ‘Forged in Fire’, the 36-year-old received an invitation from one of the show’s judges to learn the trade.

Knife combat specialist Doug Marcaida extended the offer for Jason to fight his Kansas City Chiefs star brother Travis at the forge in a video message shared on social media.

“Congratulations on a historic NFL career and a well-deserved retirement,” Marcaida began after throwing a knife at a tree trunk.

The legendary Philadelphia Eagles center insisted the invitation was “the best thing ever”

“Now we’ve heard that you may have what it takes to keel it.” Well, if you and Travis ever want to fight off the field, come to our forge, where we could teach you to be master blacksmiths and then find out if it will burn.

“You guys are amazing, a big fan,” he added.

‘Forged in Fire’ features world-class blacksmiths competing against each other to create some of the most iconic edged weapons in history.

“It will keal” is Marcaida’s catchphrase in the show, keal being an acronym for “keep everyone alive”.

An excited Jason responded enthusiastically on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating that it would be a dream.

“This is the coolest thing ever, it would literally be a dream come true Doug,” he wrote, quoting Marcaida’s video. Even if it doesn’t sink! But I definitely want it too.’

“I really want to do something other than football,” Jason shared. “I’ve been so committed to the sport for so long that it’s embarrassing when your wife knows how to do more housework. Her father is an electrician and she knows how to fish for wires.

Travis continued to question Jason’s inability to fish a wire and claimed that he accomplished the task while fixing his speakers.

“I’m talking about walls: I could put in a new exit if I wanted to,” Jason said.

“Shout out to Ky for being the hose maintainer,” Travis responded.

“I like the TV show Forged in Fire,” Jason continued. ‘I want to go to a blacksmith and make a knife, it would be fun.

‘Count on me for that, don’t do it without me. “I’m going to make a sword,” Travis suggested.

“A sword is a completely different task, I don’t know if we are good enough to make a sword,” Jason closed.
