Courteney Cox snuggles up to her fiancé, Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid, as they arrive for the Wimbledon men’s final

Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid enjoyed the spectacle of the Wimbledon men’s final on Sunday.

The Friends star, 60, got close to the Snow Patrol rocker, 47, as they arrived hand-in-hand at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club in London.

The American actress, who lives with Johnny in London, looked elegant in grey trousers combined with a black shirt and heels.

Johnny paired his look with his own monochrome ensemble, sweetly wrapping his arm around his smiling girlfriend as they posed for photos before taking their seats.

Hollywood celebrities were seen arriving to watch seven-time champion Novak Djokovic take on reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz in a repeat of their thrilling five-set clash from last year.

Kate Middleton, a patron of the All England Club for eight years, was joined by her daughter Princess Charlotte, nine, and sister Pippa as she arrived to watch from the royal box.

Kate will present the trophy to the winner, her appearance coming hours before her husband Prince William watches England’s men attempt to win their first major soccer trophy since 1966.

Courteney’s appearance with Johnny comes after she revealed how the Snow Patrol rocker dumped her one minute into their first therapy session, which was aimed at trying to mend their relationship.

Courteney, 59, said that while it caused her immense pain, she is now grateful for her 47-year-old ex-fiancé’s bravery, and says it has helped change her and their relationship for the better.

The couple is back together.

She told the Minnie’s Questions Podcast: ‘Johnny and I broke up five years ago. After three years, we broke up and it was very intense. We broke up in therapy.

“I didn’t know this was going to happen. Whether I should have or not, it was like we went to a therapist to talk about our boundaries, what we could and couldn’t accept about each other.

‘Instead, he just broke up with me within the first minute. And I was like, ‘What?’ And we were engaged. And I was so shocked, I was in so much pain. I don’t like surprises either.

“And he’s an amazing human being, so I wasn’t trying to shock. I was going through a lot of pain in the relationship.

‘There was so much to deal with that she had to protect herself around her heart.

‘So instead of saying ‘fuck it’ and going into angry mode, I focused and worked on myself more, by far.’

She added: ‘I learned to reclaim my voice, my boundaries, what my motives in life were, what my role in this was.

‘I’m so grateful for that breakup because when we got back together it was a different relationship, but also because it really taught me how to operate in the world – what were the things from my childhood that I needed.

‘Whether it was to be adored by men. Things that I didn’t know how to let go of to be in a relationship. Not taking things personally. My boundaries, I just dove into myself and had a great therapist.

‘I went to the same one. I kept seeing him, the same one we met on the day of the breakup. And it was brutal going to his office after that for a while. But then it was great.

“I’m grateful that Johnny was so bold and brave because it changed my life and I’m sure his too.”
