Courteney Cox celebrated the 30th anniversary of Friends by remembering her fan-favorite character, Monica, who she says is “alive and well.”

The 60-year-old actress, who recently turned heads at the US Open, opened up People on Sunday about the hit show’s milestone and admitted that he still watches the show occasionally.

“It’s crazy to me because it seems like time is going by so fast that I don’t even notice,” she said of the show’s anniversary.

“We used to say, ‘Oh, I can’t wait for this month,’ or ‘Gosh, it seems like forever.’ I would never say that again,” she added.

When asked about her witty character, she joked: “Monica is alive and well. Are you kidding me?”

Friends premiered on September 22, 1994 and ran for 10 seasons on NBC, ending in 2004.

Cox starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and the late Matthew Perry.

The actress told the outlet that while she hasn’t watched Friends streaming “in a while, whenever I come across it, I can’t help but watch it.”

She continued: “That show is amazing. Every joke is true, every character is amazing and we had the best writers in the world. I’m lucky that it’s going to continue through all the generations. And that’s a great blessing.”

When asked about his scoop on a reboot, he explained that he “can’t imagine” that happening considering the lasting legacy the original series had.

“It’s hard to try to redo something,” he said. “Everything that’s ‘re’ going on with this group… I think it’s very special.”

The show was a massive hit and gained ratings points during its 10-year run and can still be seen around the world in syndication.

Friends ran for an impressive 236 episodes and spawned a short-lived spin-off for LeBlanc’s character, Joey.

The six recently reunited after the passing of Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing, in October 2023. He was 53 years old.

Courteney previously had a romance with Beetlejuice actor Michael Keaton from 1989 to 1995.

She later married her Scream co-star David Arquette on June 12, 1999, but they separated in 2013. They shared a daughter, Coco, born in 2004.

The actress has been dating singer-songwriter Johnny McDaid, 48, on and off since 2013.
