Zach Bryan walked into a bar and received an unusual welcome.
The country singer, who was joined by the Mets’ Pete Alonso on stage at the UBS Center in New York, was the victim of a surprise 28th birthday party on Tuesday.
A video on Bar Taburete Sports’ Instagram and X accounts shows the Sun To Me singer entering the joint.
He sees something happening and says ‘Oh God’, just before being hit on the head with a two-layer cake.
His dog, who was accompanying him, seemed to realize something was wrong and quickly left the room as his person fell to the floor, a bottle of beer in his hand.

The group began singing ‘Happy Birthday’ out of tune as the hitmaker struggled to get up amid more cakes thrown in his direction.
That’s when his girlfriend, social media star Brianna Chickenfry, whose real name is Brianna LaPaglia, topped off the surprise by putting a handful of cake directly in his face.
After months of speculation, the Nine Ball singer and LaPaglia made their debut as a couple at the Grammys in February.
He and Kacey Musgraves won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for I Remember Everything.
‘Zach Bryan vs Prime Roger Clemens,’ the social media company wrote alongside the video.
Many fans were stunned by the stunt.
‘They murdered him for his birthday?! Good Lord,” wrote The Fifth Vital author Mike Majlak.
‘Who needs enemies when you have friends like these?!?!’ exclaimed one follower.
The country singer was the victim of a surprise party, and part of that surprise was having several birthday cakes thrown at him in a video shared on Bar Stool Sports’ social media accounts.

As guests serenaded Bryan with an off-key rendition of ‘Happy Birthday,’ the singer’s friend Brianna topped off the surprise by shoving a handful of cake directly into his face.
“The first two cakes spent a few minutes in the freezer,” wrote another suspect.
The Heading South artist may need some time to recover from his birthday surprise.
Luckily, he had already scheduled some time off from his The Quittin’ Time Tour.
He will resume his shows on April 25 in Des Moines, IA, according to his website.
