Rising country singer Koe Wetzel attacked the Alabama Crimson Tide before their show in Nashville following their loss to hometown team Vanderbilt.
On Saturday, the Commodores pulled off a major upset by beating the college football powerhouse, 40-35, at FirstBank Stadium.
The next day, Wetzel opened his show in Music City by performing former Alabama coach Nick Saban’s comments about how easy it is to play at Vanderbilt.
“The place you play in the SEC that’s not hard to play is Vanderbilt,” the legendary coach says in the old video. “You have more fans there than they do.”
After playing Saban’s clip, the montage continues with footage of Vanderbilt fans removing the goal post and carrying it down Broadway.

The montage to rub salt in Alabama’s wounds faded to give way to the beginning of Wetzel’s setlist.
Fans in Nashville finished the pole celebration parade by tossing it into the Cumberland River, a culmination guaranteed by the biggest win in their program’s history.
Vanderbilt’s Sedrick Alexander ran for two touchdowns and Randon Fontenette scored a pick-six. Meanwhile, Diego Pavia edged out Heisman Trophy candidate Jalen Milroe in the Commodores’ first win over the nation’s top-ranked team.
According to SportRadar, Vanderbilt had also lost all 60 games against AP’s top five teams.
The Commodores haven’t beaten Alabama in 40 years and snapped a 23-game skid under coach Clark Lea.
Alabama suffered its first loss to Vanderbilt in 40 years on Saturday in a 35-40 barnburner.
Fans stormed the field and tore down the goal post after the biggest win in school history.
Vanderbilt fans paraded the pole through Nashville before throwing it into the Cumberland River.
“This is the dream, right here,” Lea said. ‘And for the next 12 hours, I’m going to enjoy the dream. We have more ahead of us, but this is what Vanderbilt football should be about: big wins on big stages. Let’s go get more.’
The victory moved Vanderbilt to a record of 3-2 and 1-1 in the Southeastern Conference. On the other hand, the Tide is now 4-1 with the same conference record as the victors of Saturday’s game.
Vanderbilt will look to build on the momentum from its victory in its game against the University of Kentucky on October 12 when Alabama hosts the South Carolina Gamecocks.
“We’re going to really find out how much we care about each other and what the future is going to look like,” Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer said after the game. “We’ve been tested in different ways in a lot of games here this season, and this is a different kind of test now in our response.”
