Developer Valve has confirmed in a tweet (below) that Counter-Strike 2 is now allowing players to refund their weapons, a feature that fans of the series have long demanded.
The tweet reads: “Did you buy the wrong thing? Did you mean to buy a different weapon, shield or grenade? Sell your purchase and buy again (during the time of purchase)”.
At the moment, Counter-Strike does not allow refunds under any circumstances, which means that if you purchase a weapon by mistake you must either use it or spend more money on another weapon.
It’s worth noting that Riot’s Counter-Strike rival, Valorant, offers money-backs.
The refund feature comes as part of Big update for Counter-Strike 2, It is currently available to play as part of a limited test version.
The update also includes an improved gear system that lets players choose 15 weapons from three classes (Valve showed this off in another tweet below). Mirage has replaced Dust II on the beta servers for the matchmaking feature as well.
Counter-Strike 2 will be released on PC this summer.
