The Princess of Wales has toured two elite day schools in north London, sparking rumors that Prince George could be educated at one of them.
Kate, in remission from cancer, was cared for at the £10,000-a-term University College School (UCS) Hampstead just after it closed for the Christmas holidays.
The same week, Highgate School, just two miles away, was also closed to welcome a “special VIP visitor”, said to be the princess.
His alma mater, Marlborough College in Wiltshire, is understood to be the preferred choice for his eldest son when he leaves Lambrook School in Berkshire in 18 months.
But Kate and her husband, Prince William, may be interested in exploring other options.

It is believed that Kate wants to keep them together. And Marlborough, a co-educational boarding school costing £59,000 a year, could accept all three.
Prince George is believed to have been offered a place and has already had a house booked for him. It is said to be the best option for your security requirements.

A source said that while a day school in north London would be an “unexpected choice”, the events of last year could also have changed Welsh priorities.
“With the year Catherine has had, she may have thought to herself that she wants to soak up every drop of George’s childhood and tuck him into bed herself every night,” the source said.
However, it would also not be a surprise if the school visits were related to Kate’s work with the Royal Foundation. One of Kate’s first official engagements after finishing her chemotherapy was an Early Years meeting at Windsor Castle in September.
