Glamorous companions to the AFL’s biggest names donned tight-fitting corsets as they walked the red carpet on Monday night.

And while they were all certainly “on trend,” some of the women managed to score more points on the scoreboard for their efforts than others.

Bec Judd

Bec Judd, known for her iconic and show-stopping style, was one of the first WAGs to debut the popular look ahead of the 2024 Brownlow Medal countdown.

But in a rare case, the mother of four failed to impress football fans and fashion critics with her choice on the night of the code.

The mother, who is married to Chris Judd, one of the greatest players of all time, made her shock debut on the red carpet at the Brownlow Medal in 2004.

It’s been six years since she attended the event, which offers glamorous wives and girlfriends the chance to be the centre of attention.

But she looked uncomfortable in the bright pink J’Aton Couture dress. The corset tightened around her tiny waist creating a mermaid figure before finally giving way at the top of her thighs.

From there it rose to the floor and was one of many corset fails of the night.

The mother posted photos of the designer dress before attending the iconic event. And despite it earning her a rare spot among the worst dressed, her fans were delighted.

Zoey Foster Blake described it as “a bubble skirt but couture.”

While others described the dress as stunning and amazing.

“This is the most stunning dress I’ve ever seen on you,” one gasped.

Brodie Ryan

The next failed corset, also in a light pink shade, belonged to Brodie Ryan, the girlfriend of another AFL legend, Nathan Buckley.

Melbourne designer Sean Rentero’s fairytale-inspired number highlighted the glamorous brunette’s bust in a firm, shiny satin.

A shiny, sheer skirt flared around her waist while the corset continued with a strange circular flap at the front and back.

She completed the look with a timeless pearl necklace and a quirky yet elegant bird-shaped bag.

Brodie’s friends described her and her looks as phenomenal and perfect despite the poor reviews from the public.

Tiffany Browne

And fashion disasters didn’t just affect Melbourne party-goers – tight corsets that met the fashion requirements without achieving style icon status were the stars of the red carpet.

Tiffany Browne posed confidently in a Lillian Khallouf creation, though the tight black peplum-inspired corset obscured her tiny frame.

The satin skirt clung to her legs and continued to choke the petite brunette as she fell to the floor.

Her slicked back hair added to her overwhelming look.

Neila Brennan

Neila Brennan graced the Crown red carpet in Melbourne in her beige corset dress, although the simple colour overshadowed the brunette beauty.

The tight corset squeezed her toned body and did nothing to flatter the young woman as she posed in front of the camera.

Effie Kats’ custom gown fell from Neila’s waist to a long train, where it trailed along the floor with the matching cape.

The young woman, who arrived accompanied by her partner Marcus Bontempelli, completed her look with glamorous statement earrings and wore her hair up to show off her face.

Talia Zorko

Talia Zorko attended the Brisbane event at the Gabba in a corset-inspired dress.

The top, which hugged her body like a corset, featured an irregular neckline and was completely transparent in some sections.

The dress, a custom-made Zian Couture gown, featured a floor-length silver sequin skirt.

Despite not being the best dressed woman of the night, Talia’s friends and family were wowed by her “mermaid” style.

“My mouth was open,” said one.

“You look stunning,” echoed dozens of others.

The new mom looked happy as she posed in the unique dress on the red carpet.

Alex Pendlebury

Alex Pendlebury smiled as she walked the red carpet in her fashionable dress.

The dress featured a daring thigh-high slit and a tight corset and appeared to be a color that matched her nails and heels.

Jaz Buckley

Jaz Buckley looked stunning in her corset-themed dress which also featured a daring thigh-high slit.

The glamorous blonde opted for a floral skirt that also crossed the word “modest” off the trend list.

She smiled alongside her partner Jack Steele as she arrived at the iconic event.

Tanish of Siena

The young blonde also made the corset trend work for her, keeping it simple with great results.

The blush pink gown fell stylishly around Siena’s hips before falling into a neat train behind her.

She completed the look with simple, relaxed curls and a silver clutch.

The elegant gown featured a textured skirt and fell in a long train behind the glamorous blonde as she walked the red carpet.
