Corrie’s Alison King is seen for the first time since ‘splitting from her fiancé David Stuckey’
Coronation Street’s Alison King has been spotted for the first time since she reportedly split from fiancé David Stuckey last month.
The actress, 49, made a gloomy impression while shopping in Cheshire after she claimed the couple called off their wedding after it was canceled due to the Covid pandemic.
Alison, who plays Carla Connor in Corrie, had planned to exchange vows with David in May 2020, but after Covid restrictions forced them to cancel their ceremony, sources claimed the couple “grew apart” and they amicably broke up.

A source told The sun: “Alison and David have unfortunately decided to split up. They were very much in love for a long time, but eventually grew apart.
“They parted ways amicably and wish each other all the best for the future.”
Alison’s representatives were approached by MailOnline for comment at the time.
David popped the question with a ring he designed himself during a romantic sunset cruise in Portugal — which they nearly had to cancel thanks to a series of ominous clouds on the horizon.

Officially introducing her fiance during an interview with OKAY! magazine in 2019, the star also revealed that she had “a suspicion” that David was going to propose and made sure she took a Rolex with her on a trip as an engagement gift for him.
Revealing that the proposal was just a few days before their one-year anniversary, she explained: “I suspected he would ask the question because he kept putting something on my finger and saying, ‘Okay, close your eyes and forget this happened once!”‘
“We had also talked about getting married. I think we both went from “no, we never have to get married” to “oh, we really want to get married!”
Shame: It was then claimed that the couple – who began dating in March 2018 – had “grown apart” and “divorced amicably” (pictured in 2019)
Alison explained that the lead-up to the proposal was not all smooth sailing as they were confronted with “black clouds over the sea as they drove towards Albufeira harbour”.
However, with a team of dedicated crew members, the cruise went ahead as planned, and IT salesman David got on his knees to ask the question with a ring he designed himself.
Alison gushed, “I also bought him a Rolex as an engagement gift. I said, “Yes please”, and then I gave him the watch! It was perfect, even if it didn’t go to plan!’
While discussing the age difference, she claimed that he is “already very mature” and wanted someone with children since he was a father himself.
Happier times: A source said, “Unfortunately, Alison and David have decided to split up. They were deeply in love for a long time, but eventually drifted apart (pictured in 2019)
With the proposal over the summer, a source told The Sun at the time that Alison is “very excited” after her partner asked the question.
The source said some of Alison’s best friends in the cast, such as Kym Marsh and Jane Danson, were thrilled to hear of her engagement news.
They said, ‘Ali is so popular with everyone on the cobblestones. They think it’s beautiful.
The actress, who is known for playing Carla Connor in Corrie, revealed their love story and revealed that they met in March 2018 after being set up by their mutual personal trainer.
“The engagement is a nice surprise. Ali is overjoyed. Ali has clearly endured heartache in the past. But she hopes those days are now firmly behind her. She is very excited about what the future has in store.”
It comes after Alison broke off her engagement to Corrie sound engineer Adam Huckett in 2012. The couple shares daughter Daisy, age ten.
Despite getting engaged in September 2011 during a trip to Paris, it was revealed in October 2012 that the couple had split up.
Alison then dated Hollyoak’s assistant director Paul Slavin, after the pair were spotted together in 2016.
