Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd Reveals Eating Disorder While Knocking Off Vile Troll Who Claimed He ‘Could Use a Good Diet’

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has revealed he has an eating disorder when he hit a mean troll on Twitter who claimed he needed a ‘good feed’.

The 33-year-old actor, best known for playing David Platt, called out a mean social media user in January who accused him of being ‘way too skinny’.

The vicious troll had tweeted, ‘Wise up …. him. Looks like someone who could use a good feed ‘, adding that Jack is’ way too skinny’ and he ‘doesn’t look great’.

Responding to the mean social media user, Jack bravely shared details about his secret eating disorder, sarcastically thanking them for “ being nice. ”

He tweeted on January 22: ‘I have an eating disorder. Thank you for being nice. ‘

To which one of Jack’s followers praised the actor for raising awareness and speaking out.

They said, ‘Well done when you speak up, but you shouldn’t explain it to yourself. Ppl too quick to judge too fat / too thin etc. X. ‘

While another account added, ‘Good for you to speak up. Me too and you inspired me to say it out loud. ‘

MailOnline has contacted Jack’s representative for further comment.

Jack has spoken of troubles in his life before, and in September he revealed that he had undergone a second hair transplant after his thinning locks put a strain on his mental health.
