She alluded that Abi will struggle with the consequences of a big event happening in January and temptation will present itself.

talking to the sun and other media outlets, Kate explained upcoming plans: “There are some departures this year and some unexpected ones that will cause a stir.”
“People may not expect exits, but there are some.”
However, amid the shock exit, Coronation Street will welcome back some familiar faces, as well as some new additions.
Most notable among the returnees is Rob Donovan, Carla Connor’s brother who is serving time in prison for the murder of Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan).
Actor Marc Baylis, who plays the villain, has reportedly already returned to filming, and his character will no doubt have a big impact on Carla, her son Bobby, and Carla’s new romance with police officer Lisa Swain.
Detailing her big return, Kate shared: “Last time we left Rob languishing in prison. He made mistakes. He comes back to the show and we thought he might be a reformed character who has seen the error of his ways, but whether that’s the case or not, I don’t know!’
‘He definitely comes back and causes a lot of problems for Carla and Lisa. Just when Carla and Lisa think it’s safe to sit down and watch Netflix, Rob Donovan arrives and ruins all that.

In addition to Rob, Carl Webster, Kevin and Debbie’s long-lost brother, who has never appeared on screen, will make an unexpected arrival into his siblings’ lives.
She shared that there are “big stories” on the horizon for Kevin and Debbie that will “build” the Webster clan, and Kate stated that she believes the soap’s three big clans are the “Websters, Barlows and Platts.”
