A person dressed as Cookie Monster was seen driving at 60mph as police issued a warning to other Muppet motorists.
The cookie-loving blue Muppet was far from his usual home on the popular children’s show Sesame Street and was instead spotted driving down a German highway.
In the bizarre image, taken by a mobile roadside unit in Dortmund, western Germany, a driver can be seen driving at 60mph in a zone 50 dressed as Cookie Monster.
If the muppet is ever caught, he will face a fine of 40 euros.

German police believe the crime was so brazen that the Audi driver was deliberately photographed on September 20 wearing the costume as a prank.
But the police thought the stunt was in bad taste.
Police spokesman Peter Bandermann said: “The fun of wearing a Muppet Show mask can quickly become serious.”
“It will not help the relatives of a person who has been murdered if the person who did it tearfully regrets having fun with the mask in court.”
