There was chaos on one of Sydney’s most popular beaches last night after a person plunged to their death from a nearby cliff.

The tragedy occurred at Dunningham Reserve, on the northern headland of Coogee Beach, in Sydney’s east, on Thursday night.

Emergency teams rushed to the scene, where the rescue toll was located. The helicopter landed at the reserve.

One neighbor wrote on social media that he “could hear all the sirens on the street.”

A shocked witness claimed he heard emergency services say they couldn’t find the victim’s pulse.

A New South Wales Police spokesman confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that the person who fell had died.

NSW Ambulance has been contacted for comment.

A 17-year-old boy died on the same cliff in January 2023 after falling 15 meters onto the rocks below.
