Conor McGregor took to social media to call Jake Paul an “idiot” following the YouTuber’s knockout win over Mike Perry.
Paul earned his tenth boxing haircut in impressive fashion by knocking down Perry in the sixth round when the BKFC champion was unable to get up from the canvas.
The 32-year-old was a last-minute replacement for boxing legend Mike Tyson, who had to withdraw due to health problems.
Perry showed his skills against Paul in Las Vegas, but was knocked down twice before the flurry of punches that ended the fight.
It took McGregor just minutes to take to X (formerly Twitter) to berate Paul for his choice of opponents. “Jake Paul is the biggest asshole I’ve ever seen,” the former UFC champion wrote.

Paul, 27, knocked out Perry in the sixth round after knocking him down twice previously.
McGregor was not impressed and lashed out at Paul over the weight difference between the fighters.
McGregor continued: “Forty-pound weight difference, taken out of his head, and he’s still shitting himself in there. Nakisa, you should take him to Vegas. Oh, that’s right, you could never do that. The athletic commission is testing, really testing, really fighting.”

The pair have not been on good terms for some time and Paul has made no secret of his desire to fight McGregor in the future.
While a fight between the two men seems unlikely to happen, Paul still had an instant response to the MMA fighter’s post after the fight.
The YouTuber said: “It sucks that I fired your BKFC champion. I told you that was going to happen. I told you exactly what was going to happen.”
Paul didn’t stop there. After taking some time to gather his thoughts following his win, he went after McGregor again at his post-fight press conference.
“He was giving his boy Mike Perry a lot of praise. I said, ‘Okay, Conor, after I screw Mike Perry, then you’re next,'” Paul said.
It didn’t take long for Paul to respond, as he claimed McGregor was “scared” of him in his post-fight press conference.
‘So Conor’s on Twitter all the time. He’s on his yacht all the time. Guess where he’s not? In the ring, fighting me.
“So he can talk all he wants, but The Notorious MMA is scared of Disney Channel’s Jake Joseph Paul. And I blame my mom.”
Now that Perry is no longer in his rearview mirror, Paul has his sights set on Tyson again, with the controversial fight between them now scheduled for November.
