Conor McGregor calls on all American schools to have armed guards in the aftermath of the Nashville shooting … also reveals that he is personally paying to protect his children
UFC superstar Conor McGregor has issued an appeal to the US government to hire armed guards at every school in the USA in the wake of the horrific shooting in Nashville this week.
Three children and three adults were shot and killed by a transgender man at Covenant School in Tennessee who was armed with two assault rifles and a handgun.
Three of the victims – Evelyn Dechhaus, Haley Scruggs and William Kenny – were all nine years old.
In the aftermath of the heinous crime, McGregor took to Twitter in a series of now-deleted messages, urging the US government to make armed guards a permanent fixture in every school in America.

He then went on to reveal that he personally pays for armed protection for his children at their US school, with the UFC star regularly in the US.
He added, “If she had fired on her way to that school from outside, my guard, hidden far away, armed and unseen, would have seen her and taken her down.”

Nashville shooter Audrey Hill opened fire through a locked glass door at 10:13 a.m. Monday.
The 28-year-old convert, who was a former student at the school, was shot after officers who were responding to the incident were shot.
Police are investigating possible motives for the attack.

MNPD Police Chief John Drake said ‘resentment’ towards going to school may have played a role in the shooting, but also that Hill had targeted random students at the school… shots were fired.
Drake added that officials believe “(Hill) identified as trans, but we are still in the preliminary investigation into all of that and whether he actually played a role in this incident.”
In addition to the three 9-year-olds, the headmaster, 60, and a guardian and substitute teacher, both 61, were also killed.
They were later named Cynthia Peak, Katherine Koonce, and Mike Hill.
