Conor McGregor has hinted that he is not happy with the UFC and the time it is taking them to schedule a new date for his fight with Michael Chandler.

The duo were set to enter the Octagon to face off at UFC 303 on June 29.

However, the fight was postponed after the Irishman suffered a toe injury days before the bout which ruled him out.

McGregor’s last fight was back in 2021 against Dustin Poirier, where ‘The Notorious’ suffered a serious leg fracture in the first round against the American fighter and since then fans have been eagerly awaiting his return.

It seems McGregor himself is also eager to fight, as he took to social media to hint that he was ready to fight and was just waiting for the date to be decided.

McGregor shared a video on both his Instagram Story and page that showed the 36-year-old fighter punching a punching bag.

She captioned the post: ‘#FREETHEMAC’.

This is not the first time McGregor has taken to social media to express his displeasure over the delay in rescheduling his fight with Chandler.

A few weeks ago, he angrily took to social media to suggest a date after the UFC president revealed the pair would not fight before the end of the year.

McGregor responded to White’s comments with a now-deleted X-rated post, in which he wrote: ‘Ah Dana, December is the date! Bring the calendar home with a winning event.

—Come on, what’s this? Next month I’m going to the altitude to prepare.

Both fighters are eager to fight each other and have asked the UFC to schedule the date for this year.

Shortly after McGregor’s initial post, his opponent Chandler responded to the proposed date by commenting “It’s December” followed by the shaking hands emoji.

Although the two men have “agreed” to a date, there is no set date agreed upon by the UFC.

And after the social media exchange between McGregor and Chandler, Dana White broke his silence and said: Sports network You can imagine after I said that Conor was driving me crazy telling me ‘I’m definitely fighting this year!’

“When we get to a point where we can schedule a fight, and I think a fight with Conor McGregor is going to happen, I’ll announce it.

“For now, I think Conor won’t fight this year. Conor says he wants to fight in December, we’ll see how it goes.”
