A woman has gone viral after loudly slurping down 48 oysters during a first date at a Georgia restaurant.
The woman, who goes by the name EquanaB on TikTok, revealed in a video (warning: graphic language) that she met her date at Fontaine’s Oyster House in Atlanta. She ordered four dozen oysters and loudly slammed them back during dinner – that’s where it all started to go wrong.
While waiting for her date to come out of the bathroom, the woman was angry to hear that he had left the restaurant – in apparent disgust at her insatiable appetite for shellfish.
But while EquanaB was shocked by her date’s behavior, those who watched her video on TikTok were quick to accuse her of being in the wrong.
One user wrote on TikTok: “I don’t know what’s worse, the 48 oysters as an APPETIZER or the insane slurping and smacking.”

At the beginning of her video, EquanaB explained that she met her date a few weeks earlier during an outing with friends, stating that the man had been “texting her for weeks.”
“I was bored and had time, so he texted me like, ‘Can we meet for drinks?'” she continued.
The woman first wondered why she hadn’t blocked her upcoming date, then walked into the restaurant.
She stated, “They have the best damn oysters in Atlanta.”
The oysters at Fontaine’s Oyster House start at $15 a dozen every Tuesday, and that’s when the couple agreed to meet for drinks.
The majority of the video shows the women slurping the oysters after adding lemon and tabasco.
She doesn’t show him on camera. She admits that her date looked strange, but she “didn’t give a fuck.”
“I was like, ‘Honey, you invited me, I’m going to dinner,’” she said.
When she finished the 48 oysters, the women ordered crab cakes and red skin potatoes, which she said was a “ten out of ten.”
Her date didn’t think so, and after telling the woman he was going to the bathroom, he left and never returned.
She said, “It’s been 10, 20, 30 minutes… Had to get the bill in the end… Left me with his one damn drink.”
The man eventually texted her: “I offered to take you out for drinks and you ordered all that food – I can cash the total for the drinks.”

As the woman slurped the oysters, she also added lemon and hot sauce
People on TikTok have sided with the woman, many of whom said they would have done the same as her date
The restaurant’s manager, Kelcey Flanagan, said Rolling stone she wasn’t surprised: ‘This is nothing new for us. It was just really funny.”
“I had two ladies order six dozen (oysters) each. That’s not even the icing on the cake: they drank white Russians.
“I will say it’s been a minute since I’ve had one female eat that many… it’s pretty impressive.”
Even though the woman got the bill, TikTok users in their droves are siding with her date.
One person said: ’48 oysters for yourself is insane.’
Another person said, “I’m here yelling because you were slurping those oysters and that man was plotting his escape.”
“I’m glad he left because sitting across from you was probably a horrible sight,” said one TikToker.
On X, a user said, “Find him so we can hear his side.”
The woman posted another TikTok video after she went viral in response to a comment about her $11 dollar restaurant tip.
She said, “I left $11 in cash (and) $15 on my card.”
The woman also admitted that she ended up paying for his drink. It’s unclear if they reconnected after the disastrous date.
