Commonwealth Bank set to axe $3 cash withdrawal fee after major backlash

Commonwealth Bank is set to remove a $3 cash withdrawal fee, following backlash from Australians.

Criticized for being greedy and out of touch, Commonwealth Bank will switch all customers with a ‘Full Access’ account to a ‘Smart Access’ account, which includes an ‘assisted withdrawal fee’.

The $3 fee affects customers when they withdraw cash from bank branches, post offices or by phone, but does not include ATM withdrawals.

Daily Mail Australia understands the bank has held crisis talks following customer backlash and is set to backtrack on the fee later today.
